People might say that dogs and babies are not a good combination—that dogs are unpredictable and might harm the unsuspecting toddler. But while there is a hint of truth in that statement, it is not always the case. The internet has proven once again that the cutest duos are that of dogs and children.
Brano, the gentlest German Shepherd, is out to prove that dogs and children are, in fact, the perfect combination. In this featured video, you will see how gentle dogs are around little children. In the video, Brano can be seen munching on his well-deserved snack—a proper-sized dog biscuit in the form of a bone.
While Brano is busy chewing the biscuit into bite-sized pieces, the tiny baby Ava is also busy scooping up his treats. Little Ava managed to grab a good-sized biscuit that Brano was trying to chew. Ava’s dad asks the toddler if she stole Brano’s treat with a bit of a chuckle.
But let’s face it, babies are stubborn. Once they get their hands on something they want, they will not hand it back to you that easily. They will hide it from you and will even fight you if you try to get it. So when little Ava grabbed a piece of Brano’s treat, dad already knew it would take more than words to sway the little toddler to give up the prize.
So what does Brano do when he realized that the little human took his snack? Does he forcefully take it from her tiny hands? Does he get mad and bark at the little girl? No. The dog was surprisingly very gentle with Ava and didn’t even try to force himself on her, given their noticeable size difference.
Instead, the gentle dog tried nudging the treat from the little girl’s hand. When she wouldn’t give it up, Brano just carefully sits back and waits for Ava to give back his snack. Can you be any gentler, Brano?
