Stray dogs always deserve a shot at getting a better life. But this will only happen when a kind person takes them in and gives them overflowing love they’ve always deserved.
Two former stray dogs from Romania are now living a good life, thanks to their owner who has saved them from the dangerous street life. The rescue dogs are now traveling Europe, and they have become the models of their human who happens to be a photographer.
Meet Finn and Yuri
Anne Geirer, a photographer, had rescued the two dogs from the streets of Romania. Had the pups not been rescued, they would have risked death at a kill shelter. They were later given the names Finn and Yuri.
Finn was a cross between a fox terrier and Labrador. He was the first to be adopted in 2014. Yuri, on the other hand, was a Border Collie-Australian cattle dog cross. He joined Anne’s charming family in 2017.
When Anne adopted him, it took time before he was able to trust people again. He seemed to be an anxious dog, probably because of his experience at a kill shelter where life was not guaranteed.
Finn, on the other hand, had been described by Anne as the calm anchor in her life. He also served as Yuri’s perfect companion because of their complementing temperaments.
Their new lives sound so exciting!
Anne, who lives in Austria, took the dogs with her on her trips abroad. The trio had already traveled to several countries, such as Switzerland, Italy, Norway, and Germany.
What made their trips more exciting was that they traveled in a Volkswagen Transporter Campervan. And because Anne was a photographer, she made sure that all their sojourns were beautifully documented. She had a collection of pictures featuring her pups standing by the crystal-clear lakes or resting on a stone platform with the majestic mountains as a background.
Anne described her trip as a different method of traveling. She said that it was a very simple way of living where one had to reduce everything to what was really important.
