Everyone loves a glow up. Every dog deserves love and care. This is a beautiful story of how a dog gets both after being adopted.
The data from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or ASPCA shows that every year, around 3.3 million dogs get abandoned and sent to animal shelters. Many of these animal companions in shelters are malnourished and scared. Ranger, now called Moose, was one of the millions of dogs who needed a forever family.
On October 26, 2020, a TikTok user who goes by the name ‘Ellelizzy’ posted a video of her fur baby’s growth. She fell in love with the sweet but cautious boxer as soon as she went inside the animal shelter.
We can see in the video that the dog was shy and anxious at first. Ellelizy tells us that Ranger didn’t know how to ‘dog’ during the first weeks. He didn’t know how to behave like most dogs because he had never been in a home.
However, Ellelizy was determined to shower him with affection. The once shy and wary dog begins showing his real personality in no time. Ellelizy changed Ranger’s name to Moose since it suits his brave but klutzy personality better.
From the timid and confused pooch, Moose turned into an energetic and sweet bundle of fur. His fur mom shows us Moose’s antics: being curious about a statue of a dog, playing fetch in the living room, and playing with other dogs.
Who would have thought that an anxious puppy could get so cuddly? It shows that with proper love and support, even an abandoned dog with trust issues could become the life of the party.
How about you? Do you know any glow up stories? We’d love to hear your stories too!
